Antonio B. Sousa, 88, passed on March 6, 2019. He was the husband of Maria Olga (Raposa). They celebrated their 60th anniversary in June.
He resided 24 years in Central Falls before moving to Seekonk 25 years ago.
Born in St. Miguel, Azores, a son of the late Joao de Melo de Sousa and Gilda de Sousa.
Arriving in the Unites States in 1968, He had been employed as a machinist by RI Tool Company for several years before becoming disabled.
Besides his wife, he is survived three sons, Luis Sousa and his wife Laurie, Richard Sousa and his wife Sandra, and Cicero Sousa, He is also survived by a sister, Gilda Arruda de Sousa, six grandchildren, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Alexia, Alyssa, Jordyn and Lea, four great grandchildren, Ariana, Avriana, Sophia, Kayden, and several nieces and nephews. He was the father-in-law of the late Nelia Sousa and brother of the late Joao, Jose and Francisco Sousa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 12th at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visitation Monday from 5pm until 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
